Kevin Smith  |  Executive Director

Kevin Smith is a third-year student at Northeastern University and currently pursues a degree in Finance at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business. His interests are in consulting and real estate as well as various areas of international business. On top of finance, he also minors in Spanish as well as Italian with the ultimate goal of being trilingual. Growing up just outside of Philadelphia, Kevin spent over 10 years of his life working within construction industry and has experience with everything from sales to project management. Currently in his first co-op cycle at Northeastern, Kevin is working as a Productivity & Costing Analyst at Brown Brother Harriman & Co. He is learning to combine his management and leadership skills learned from previous experience in construction with the collaborative effort required at a large private bank such as BBH. Currently serving his third semester at Chi Sigma Consulting, Kevin was elected Executive Director in the Spring of 2017 and his high hopes for the future of the organization. 



Katherine Swaim  |  Director of Consulting & Engagement Manager

Katherine Swaim is a third-year honors student at Northeastern University in the D'Amore- McKim School of Business. She is majoring in International Business (with concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems) and minoring in Mandarin Chinese. She is originally from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Katherine is currently co-oping at the Boston Consulting Group as a Global Financial Analyst. Other work experience includes a four-month People Strategy Information Systems internship at Rapid7. Her on-campus work experience includes acting as a research assistant to the International Business and Strategy Group focusing on emerging markets, wealth distribution, and technology. She is a dedicated member of the NU Pep Band in the saxophone section and is very involved in volunteering in the local community. Katherine enjoys running and reading in her free time.


Stephanie Ji  |  Director of Operations

Stephanie Ji is a third-year student at Northeastern University pursuing a combined degree of Marketing and Interactive Media. She grew up on Long Island but spent the last seven years living in Shanghai, China.  Stephanie was previously a Marketing Intern at Bausch+Lomb and is currently an User Experience Designer at a startup called Placester. She focuses on both web and mobile interface design and is motivated by her passion in design thinking and how we can use design to enhance efficiency. On campus, Stephanie is an Interactive Media Manager in NEU's Entrepreneur's Club- the largest club on campus, and does freelance work in her spare time- focusing on pixel art and animation. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys practicing her photography, cooking, and strumming away on her ukulele. 


Joann Jeong           Engagement Manager

Joann is a fifth year at Northeastern University pursuing a degree in Finance and Accounting with a minor in international affairs. Her past experiences include a co-op at Deloitte in Audit, at UBS on their market risk analytics team, and at BlueGate Partners, a boutique real estate investment bank, on their capital markets team. In her free time, Joann enjoys traveling, running and trying new ethnic food. Joann hopes to ultimately become a nomad of sorts, with friends, family and ventures residing across the globe.


Stephen Wang                  Associate Consultant

Stephen is a second-year student at Northeastern University in the D’amore-McKim Business School. He is currently pursuing a degree in business marketing. Stephen has spent his past three summers working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Department of Professional Education where he interned for the marketing team. He is originally from Westford, Massachusetts, and enjoys spending his free time reading, watching sports, and exploring the wilderness.



Daniel Castle          Engagement Manager

Daniel Castle is a Second-Year Honors student at Northeastern University pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurial Engineering. His professional experiences include being a Research Assistant at the University of Delaware in their Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department and being a Civil Engineering Intern at Pennoni Associates, Inc., which is an engineering consulting firm. This semester, he will join Generate, Northeastern's Student-Run Product Development Studio, while continuing his work in Northeastern's chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He's originally from Delaware, and he enjoys refereeing soccer and reading books in his free time.


Luke McCollester            Associate Consultant

Luke McCollester is currently a third year student at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University. He is pursuing a degree in business administration with concentrations in finance and accounting. After transferring from Roanoke College in Virginia, he is preparing himself for a career in investment management. Luke is originally from Rochester, Massachusetts and enjoys being close to the ocean. He is currently developing his own co-op at an investment management firm in downtown Boston. In his free time, you can catch Luke out on the golf course or spending time with his friends and family. 


Christine Le                  Associate Consultant

Christine Le is a fourth year at Northeastern University pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Experience Design. Her previous work experiences include a co-op in the Global Development Center at Depuy Synthes working with medical devices and rapid prototyping as well as a co-op at Qinetiq North America, a defense company specializing in robotics. Christine is the current co-president of NU Robotics and in her fourth year of working at the Student Employment Office. She's from Malden, Massachusetts and in her free time enjoys playing tennis and walking her dog.


Ghinwa Naja                    Associate Consultant

Ghinwa is a third year at Northeastern University pursuing a degree in Finance with minors in Social Entrepreneurship and International Affairs. She’s currently a Diversity and Inclusion co-op at the Talent and Enterprise Services at Liberty Mutual Insurance and is working on strategic engagement, learning development, and sponsorship budgeting. She also developed a monitoring and evaluation framework as part of her pro bono consulting assignment in India throughout June 2017. She is also currently serving as Secretary on the executive board of the Chi Sigma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. In her free time, Ghinwa enjoys poetry and working out.


Aditi Singh                       Associate Consultant

Aditi Singh is a third-year honors student at Northeastern University in the College of Science and is pursuing a degree in Biochemistry with minors in Social Entrepreneurship and International Affairs. She is currently working at Momenta Pharmaceuticals in the Pre-Clinical department and has previously worked as a Research Assistant in Northeastern University’s Microbiology Department. This semester, Aditi will act as service chair for  Alpha Kappa Psi, pursuing her passion for community service and social innovation. Outside of academics and work, Aditi is a campus resident assistant, dancer with NU Kinematix, and enjoys traveling


Austin Chen                  Associate Consultant

Austin is a fourth year student at Northeastern pursuing a degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Supply Chain Management. His co-op experiences include working as a HomeGoods Brand Marketer at the TJX Companies and a Guest Consultant at The Lenox Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in Back Bay Boston. On campus, Austin is an active participant of LEAD360 where he has served as a Leadership Consultant and a BLUEPRINT Mentor. He is also a member and the Treasurer of the award-winning co-ed A Cappella group The Nor'easters.


Melanie Barbini           Associate Consultant

Melanie Barbini is a third year Honors Behavioral Neuroscience student also minoring in Computer Science at Northeastern University. She recently finished a co-op at Harvard Medical School studying how induced states of hunger modulate neural representations of food cues. In addition, she works in the Interdisciplinary Affective Science Laboratory at Northeastern University, working to describe novel emotion word concepts. From the beginning of her college experience she has been a volunteer at Massachusetts General Hospital in the emergency pediatrics department and has worked as an aid in transporting patients around the hospital. Exploring culture and identity, as well as building community is something very important to her, and she will be this years student coordinator for AASIA, an Asian American Peer Mentoring Group at Northeastern University. In her free time she also loves to do Taekwondo, run, and cliff dive.


Boris Sheydin          Associate Consultant

Boris is a sophomore at Northeastern University at the College of Engineering and is pursuing a major in Computer Engineering with a minor in Economics. He spent this summer studying at the London School of Economics and his professional experience includes a web development internship at Fusion Media. This semester Boris will serve as the Vice President of Alumni Relations for the Chi Sigma chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. Boris is from San Diego, California and in his free time enjoys discovering music, hiking, and cars.


Kaylien Phan          Associate Consultant

My name is Kaylien, a current junior attending Northeastern University as a Computer Science and Mathematics major with a minor in Economics. My background in studies as well as my strong interest in a diverse set of fields have led me to have a more eclectic set of experiences than most. I have worked in marketing, sales, and as a business analyst for Wayfair that used consumer understanding and data to resolve site-wide company issues, especially in the realm of pricing and visualization. My passions include social entrepreneurship, philosophy, and music.
